# Delhi HC Declines Interim Relief on Plea by Wangchuk's Wife

The Delhi High Court on Thursday declined to grant immediate interim relief in a plea filed by the wife of climate activist and CJP supporter Sonam Wangchuk. The petition sought Wangchuk's transfer from Safdarjung Hospital to an independent medical facility.

Wangchuk was forcibly removed from the Jantar Mantar protest site by Delhi Police after his health severely deteriorated during his indefinite hunger strike. His family and CJP activists have raised concerns about his treatment and the transparency of his medical reports while under police custody at the government hospital.

The court noted that medical professionals are actively monitoring his condition and scheduled the next hearing for early next week.
