As the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) intensifies its nationwide agitation against alleged exam irregularities, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has finally broken his silence regarding the viral youth movement that is demanding his resignation.

The Hyderabad Protest

On Sunday, the CJP, along with several other student organizations, staged a massive protest in Hyderabad. Protestors gathered in large numbers at Dharna Chowk to voice their frustration against the central government over the NEET paper leak and ongoing irregularities related to the CBSE’s on-screen marking system.

The protest also saw the participation of renowned activist and educationist Sonam Wangchuk, who emphasized the urgent need for a "bhay-mukt Bharat" (fear-free India) and systemic education reform.

The Minister's Reaction

Facing mounting pressure and a 7-day ultimatum from CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, Dharmendra Pradhan finally addressed the movement. While he acknowledged the students' concerns regarding the exams, he brushed off the CJP's demands for his immediate resignation.

According to sources, the minister referred to the movement as a "social media phenomenon" and urged students not to be misled by "satirical stunts." He reassured the public that the government is taking the exam irregularities seriously and that strict action will be taken against those found guilty in the NEET paper leak probe.

However, his refusal to step down has only fueled the anger of CJP supporters, who are now preparing to escalate their movement with an indefinite sit-in at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi starting June 20.
