In ground reports from Dainik Bhaskar, the brutality of the clashes at Jantar Mantar is laid bare. Delhi Police were seen chasing down and beating protesters with lathis as they attempted to march.

One of the most striking images of the day features a young protester, absorbing blows from the police, and defiantly shouting back, "Hit me more!" The heavy deployment of security forces in firing positions has created a highly tense atmosphere.
