In a significant political development, the Indian National Congress has extended conditional support to the Cockroach Janta Party ahead of its proposed June 6 protest in New Delhi. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh confirmed that the party has offered legal aid, logistics, and protection to CFP volunteers if they face police action.

Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, Rahul Gandhi said, 'The anger of India's youth is legitimate. When a Chief Justice calls unemployed youth cockroaches, and when exam paper leaks destroy crores of futures, a movement like CJP is inevitable. We stand with their demands, not for politics, but for justice.'

However, the overture was met with caution by Abhijeet Dipke. From his base in Boston, Dipke posted a video statement clarifying that the CJP 'will remain politically independent.' He said, 'I have not spoken to any leader from any party. We accept legal help from any citizen who believes in our cause, but we will not become a front for any political party. The youth have had enough of vote bank politics.'

Congress's Offer Congress has reportedly offered: (1) A team of 10 Supreme Court lawyers pro-bono for CJP members facing arrest, (2) Arrangement of buses for supporters from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, and (3) A dedicated control room at the AICC headquarters to monitor police action on June 6.

Political analysts see this as a double-edged sword for Dipke. 'Accepting Congress support could validate the CJP's demands but also alienate non-Congress supporters. Rejecting it entirely might leave the movement vulnerable to state crackdown,' said political commentator Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay.

The BJP, meanwhile, attacked Congress for 'befriending a movement that mocks democratic institutions.' BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, 'First they couldn't handle the Bharat Jodo Yatra, now they want cockroaches to join them. Congress has lost all political sense.' The CJP has not officially accepted or rejected Congress's offer as of Tuesday evening.
