The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has teased a major endorsement ahead of its planned June 6 protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The movement’s founder, Abhijeet Dipke, says the protest will remain peaceful, but momentum could rise if an ‘eminent personality’ joins him after his return to India from the United States.

Launching May 16 after a Supreme Court judge’s remark about unemployed youth, CJP has rapidly expanded into a high-visibility campaign. Organizers claim it has crossed 1.2 million sign-ups and developed a large social footprint with roughly 19–23 million Instagram followers.

A protest framed around exam accountability

Dipke links multiple grievances into one demand: resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over allegations of repeated paper leaks and delays in exam processes. Supporters say the street action is intended as a visible, non-violent call for policy response—not silence.

The endorsement tease In a post ahead of his travel back to India, Dipke hinted that a prominent figure may join the June 6 gathering. No name was given, but supporters interpreted the hint as a signal that the protest could draw attention beyond the current core audience.

While preparations continue, Dipke’s family has reportedly expressed concerns about threats connected to the movement’s rapid online spread. Organizers insist the June 6 plan will stay focused, disciplined, and peaceful at Jantar Mantar.
